Mistress Roocillia Chatelaine, or “Roo” for short, the daughter of a tavern keeper, was sent to serve in the King’s kitchens in her youth. She worked her way up to become a royal Steward, entrusted with keys to storage towers, wine cellars, and ancient underground shipping passages and catacombs throughout the city.
Her career changed when her father passed away, leaving her his tavern, the Fool & Scholar. Roocillia took it over because she truly loves her city and knows the appetites of its people well. She now spends her days offering hospitality to guests in exchange for fresh news of the realm.
Mistress Chatelaine also still holds the keys to many doors, both seen and unseen, and can sense when Keldore’s portals open and close. She does what she can with her small folk magic and big heart to protect the town and its inhabitants from chaos and danger.
